From the East - March 2025

My Brothers, a couple months ago I asked for Brothers that would be willing to provide ‘fraternal assistance’ to Brothers in need. At that time I received an out pouring of support for this form of outreach. I asked R⸫W⸫ Ives to shepherd this initiative. He gladly agreed to manage this task. Our first opportunity to provide assistance has been brought forward.

Brother David Bussone is waging a war with a reoccurrence of ‘prostate cancer’. Unfortunately, he is not fairing well and needs transportation to receive radiation treatments. I am proud to say Brother Ives structured transportation for Brother Bussone. While it may seem like a small outreach for some, it is a significant stress reducer for Brother Bussone. His ability to drive is very limited right now. His wife is experiencing significant health issues of her own. Supporting him with transportation has become a most significant reliever of stress and concern for both David and Doreen.

Thank you for stepping up to the plate and hitting a "home run" ... completing a game winning "touchdown." I cannot express the degree of appreciation the Craft is providing. It is my strongest wish that this outreach expands to ALL Brothers who find themselves in need or distress. I also am reporting that Brother Bussone and his wife Doreen send their warmest thanks and heart felt gratitude to the Craft for demonstrating your support in their time of need.

Next, I would like to thank all who attended Fellow Craft Degree for Brother Williams on February 20th. Four of our Officer (Brothers Markel, Goodrich, Dean and Murphy) were in their new Chairs and did a very good job at the FC ritual. I expect we should see
Brother Williams’ catechism in about five weeks and his raising to Master Mason in about 6 weeks. Brothers, please make every effort to attend and participate in this life changing step in his growth as a man and Mason.

Masonic Outreach will resume in April. We should see a Rusty Nail Degree in April, Wills and Trust in May and a presentation concerning Prostate Cancer in June. More to come on the particulars in March.

Finally, the St. Valentines Dinner Dance went well. We will get a full report at the March Stated Communication. Please attend the Lodge for a full review.

While at the Lodge, check out the progress of the Lodge’s renovation. I think you will be very pleased examining our progress. Brothers Markel and Murphy want to remind you that an opportunity for fellowship will be provided both before and during lunch and immediately following our stated communication. Come enjoy the fellowship. Come to see if the WM is able to present a Communication with, but one, mistake.
