Brethren:
We are halfway through the year. While we have accomplished a lot, we have a lot more left on our plate. The first order of business is to better prepare our Senior Warden for his year in the East. The next six months will see W⸫ Ferri transition into his year as Master. He provided a brief report on the activities of the Strategic Planning Committee last month.
We will hear a far more detailed presentation of this Committee’s efforts, as well as his direction for the Lodge at our October Stated Communication. I also asked that his missives,“From the West,” address his philosophy and intentions concerning moving us to higher levels of success. I am certain that if anyone has suggestions for our actions/directions next year, he will be pleased to listen and, perhaps, make small adjustments to his plan of work.
We also have two catechisms, two Master Mason Degrees and one Fellow Craft Degree taking place in the next six months. (There is a possibility of more!). The next scheduled event includes a catechism for the Fellow Craft Degree during our June Communication. This will be followed by a Master Mason, with Brother Ferri sitting in the East, about the 18th of July.
We will be hosting a “Past Masters Night” in September. ALL Past Maters, who are members of the Villages Masonic Lodge are invited (and urged) to attend. Perhaps, we might have a Table Lodge or Lodge of Discussion. My plan is to hold it at our Lodge and
have a nice dinner to accompany the activities.
I look forward to W⸫ Gaudiosi’s working committee’s report during June’s Communication. Whenever we are able to make a brother from another jurisdiction more comfortable at the time of his transition between Grand Lodge jurisdictions the better off we all will be. I also look forward to the upcoming ‘Rusty Nail’ degree. For many of you this will provide the perfect opportunity to reacquaint yourselves with the beauty of our Florida Rituals. Dates and times will be provided during the Stated Communication.
My final comment this month is to remind everyone that
The New Grand Master’s Official Visit will be 7 June at the Lake County Shrine Club in Tavares. Please plan on attending. A free Welcoming Dinner coupled with fellowship’ is being provided. Moreover, this is also an opportunity to welcome our next DDGM, R⸫W⸫ Jay Techman. Let’s hear what is in store for us during 2026.
May God light your Path,
