From the East - August 2025

My Brothers,

It has been over two years since arson destroyed our former home, the Leesburg Masonic Lodge. We spent time at the Wildwood Masonic Lodge before settling down at our current location. Since the fire, where we lost all our Lodge property, we have done everything possible to regain that which we lost. I am pleased to announce that we should shortly have everything needed to provide a great "Masonic Experience."

We consecrated The Villages Lodge at 2401 Virginia Avenue in Leesburg, Fl. We replaced that which was lost. We brought our Masonic record keeping up to Digest Standards. We secured all records, not destroyed in the fire, within the new Secretary/ Treasurer’s office. We are providing quality initiation rituals. We are initiating new Masons. We are assisting in the Masonic charge: "making good men better."

The final addition to our Lodge, a new set of Tracing Boards, should be up on our walls shortly. We have done all this with the best
group of Masons in Florida, a well functioning group of officers, and an enthusiasm for future opportunities. There is
a lot to celebrate.

The next cause for celebration will take place on 9 August 2025, 9:30 am, at the Lodge, where we will raise Brother Matthew Dean Williams during the Master Mason Degree. Your attendance is requested. Let us raise this brother, who I fully expect will be a great Master in a couple of years, with joy and fellowship.

Lady Lake Elementary School is one of our special community, youth and monthly charity initiatives. We have
historically supplemented Lady Lake Elementary School with our charity basket, with school supplies, and with our
“Bikes for Books” efforts. It is again time to collect school supplies which will be distributed to disadvantaged students via
this campaign. We will be presenting these supplies to the Lady Lake Elementary School at the end of August, just
prior to the start of their new school year. Your generosity is appreciated for the lodge’s attempts to provide service
and support to a wide variety of our youth’s initiatives.

We also are requesting that you consider donating your old eye glasses and hearing aids. We will donate these to those in need throughout the world. We will provide glasses and hearing aids to the poor via The Lions Club International who have been providing recycled glasses for over fifty years. The Lions Club is also recycling old hearing aids. Please bring your old eye glasses and hearing aids to our August Communication, 11 August 2025. We will collect them and make certain they get to The Lions Club for distribution where they can do good.

Please bring any donated items to our August Stated Communications or Master Mason Degree. If you find you are
unable to make it to our Stated Communications, please give me, or another Lodge Officer, a call and we will be
happy to stop by and pick up your donation.

As an incentive to support both our school supply drive and our eye glasses/hearing aid drive, we are providing an incentive to donate. Bring 3 pairs of old eye glasses/hearing aids and school supplies to our Communication and lunch is on us!

Thank You & May God Light Your Path,
