A Tyler's Toast
From brother Ben Zion.
This is a Tyler’s toast that is not said anywhere but from my lips. I found it as a Tyler’s Toast in some old lodge papers.
It was written by a Past Master David Davidson.
When evil doth our work assail;
And ‘gainst our efforts doth prevail;
Grant that our Brethren, builders all;
Though scattered far may hear the call;
Poor and distressed, give that they may;
In safety pass from day to day;
Obeying the Divine Command;
To seek again their Native Land;
To found anew;
Four square and true;
The New Jerusalem.
