Brethren, January is here and so rings in a new Masonic Year. This past year has been very exciting and full of adventure, transitions and at times, uncertainty. So begins our transition from one Masonic year to the next. To ensure continuity and as mentioned in our letter to craft on 31 October, we have concluded that it is in the best interests of the Lodge to continue in our current positions as Worshipful Master and Senior Warden for the 2025 Masonic Year. We are confident that, with your assistance and support, the full line of 2025 officers will position our Lodge for a strong future.
The name “January” comes from an old Roman word “Janus” who was the god of beginnings and transitions. January ushers in winter holidays and events such as New Years, the last day of Chanukah, the Epiphany, Masonic Installations, MLK’s Birthday, Inauguration Day, and most importantly, my birthday.
As busy as we may be, we still need to focus on our Masonic obligations. We look forward to your input and support as we continue to plan and execute our Lodge programs this year. If you feel you could contribute your expertise on any committee, please let us know...we can always use your help, especially our newest Dual Members.
Our next Quarterly Road Clean-up is scheduled for Saturday, March 8th. We all meet at Perkins Restaurant (905 Bichara Blvd in Lady Lake) at 0745 for breakfast and we are usually finished by 1000.
Fraternally, Bruce Ferri, Senior Warden
