My Brothers, if you’re reading this, you know that the 2026 Officers are now installed and in place. If you’re not reading this, we’ll try to catch you next time.
Part of the job description of Junior Warden is to provide for the lodge at refreshment, inside and outside the lodge. But another part of the job is to begin preparation for the possibility of serving in the East as Worshipful Master. Even the sound of those words, “Worshipful Master,” are daunting and cause for humble reflection.
Upon that reflection, this Junior Warden’s main purpose is, and will be, “Have we made you better men?” Has every time you visited the lodge for a meeting, or even attended a social event, “Are you better, more morally fit, more enlightened, more encouraged for having done so?”
A tall task, no doubt. But who shies away from tall tasks? In golf there’s a saying that goes something like, “aim for a small target so you hit a small target.” Focus on the target. We will be traveling that road together.
Our next First Fridays Breakfast Bunch will meet on February 6th, at Bob Evans Restaurant off CR 466 at 9:00 am. Note the new time.
Our next Social Dinner will be the Valentine’s Dinner/Dance, on Saturday, February 14, at Pennbrooke Fairways in their Grand Hall, starting at 5:00 pm. By now you should have received two tickets in the mail. Contact me if you need more. Non-Masons, family and friends are most welcome. We expect this event will make you happy!
